Program
The Ellie Fund's Care for the Caregiver program provides support services for women with breast cancer and their families completely free of charge. Our services include transportation to medical appointments, daycare, housekeeping, meals and grocery cards.
All Care for the Caregiver participants are referred to The Ellie Fund by medical professionals from leading hospitals across the state including the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, MA General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Lahey Clinic, Mt. Auburn Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, NE Hemotology/Oncology, South Shore Medical Center, North Shore Medical Center, and many more.
Whether women undergoing treatment live alone or are the primary caregiver for themselves and their family, it is our belief that by helping to ease the burden of daily activities through caring and personal support free of charge, we are enabling them to channel the majority of their energy into fighting their disease.
Because of The Ellie Fund's low overhead, quick turnaround, lack of "red tape" and attention to customer service, women undergoing treatment for breast cancer in Massachusetts, and their families, are able to receive support services quickly and in a personal manner.
The Ellie Fund's proudest ability is to take donations on Friday and use them to directly benefit patients on Monday.
