Goals & Growth

At Ellie Fund, growth is about reaching more breast cancer patients with timely, equitable, and personalized services that remove everyday barriers to care, along with emotional, educational, and community support.

As diagnoses rise and financial and household pressures increase, we focus on ensuring no one delays or disrupts their treatment plan because of life’s practical challenges. Ellie Fund exists to stabilize daily life during treatment so patients can focus on their physical and mental health, not the burdens that come with it.

Our Goals

Over the next several years, we are focused on:

  • Reaching more patients statewide and closing the gap between the 2,000 people we currently serve and the 7,000 diagnosed each year in Massachusetts
  • Ensuring support begins earlier by embedding non-medical services into the standard breast cancer care experience
  • Reducing disparities in access to care by deepening partnerships in communities that have been historically under-resourced
  • Stabilizing daily life during treatment with flexible, household-centered support that keeps families afloat
  • Responding to evolving patient needs, including younger individuals and those navigating treatment while living alone
  • Advancing supportive care through advocacy, bringing patient voice and service-impact data to leaders and policymakers shaping cancer care

Developing and strengthening partnerships with hospitals and community health centers statewide is critical to reaching patients who are most vulnerable and most likely to delay or decline treatment. By improving referral systems and investing in multilingual services and technology, we are making access to support more immediate and more inclusive.
